Merridale

History

MIS Fuel Monitoring Ltd design, manufacture, install and service the highly successful Merridale range of fuel management systems. The Merridale range includes systems that are suitable for any size of fleet, from small operators to large fleets with multiple depots.

MIS (Merridale Industrial Services) originally started in 1986, after the closure of Springfield Controls Ltd, as a partnership between two ex-Springfield employees, John Russell and Dave Tomney. Initially they concentrated on servicing the old Springfield fuel monitoring systems, but after two or three years acquired their own system, the Merridale TX, which sold in modest numbers.

In 1994, following a decision to bring the old technology up to date, MIS was joined full-time by Paul Ledbury, another ex-Springfield employee, to focus on the development of a new generation of systems, and MIS Fuel Monitoring Ltd was formed. Later that year, the first Merridale Auditor systems were launched.

Since then, MIS Fuel Monitoring Ltd have continually striven to lead the market in development and innovation, and to produce what is now the most comprehensive range of commercial fuel management equipment available in the UK.

Starting life as just a standalone system, the Merridale Auditor has expanded into a product range which now encompasses integrated pumping systems, remote barrier and wash control, multiple-site networking, sophisticated PC software and much more. All systems are designed and manufactured in-house, at MIS's works in Wolverhampton, and all components are brand new, with the emphasis being on quality and reliability.

Merridale systems are now distributed and recommended by a large number of pump, tank and service organisations, and are being specified by an ever-increasing number of end-users. Sales are now well in excess of three hundred systems per year, making MIS Fuel Monitoring Ltd one of the foremost fuel management manufacturers in the UK today.
